Once you’ve chosen your date, we’ll schedule a planning consultation – either in person or over Zoom. This is where we start mapping out your session together. I’ll get a feel for your style, your home, and how you want your portraits to look and feel once they’re on your walls.
This isn’t just about creating beautiful portraits – it’s about making the entire experience feel simple, personalized, and enjoyable from beginning to end.
Your Design Consultation for a Sarasota Portrait Session Experience
After you book your session, you’ll receive a welcome guide with everything you need to feel prepared – what to wear, how to plan, and an overview of the artwork options available.
At your in-home design appointment, I’ll bring product samples so you can see and feel the quality in person. We’ll go over wardrobe, walk through your space, and plan the details of your session together so everything feels prepared and natural on session day..
If you’re traveling or prefer to meet virtually, this can always be done over Zoom.

Whether it’s just your baby or everyone together, I’ll gently guide you through each part of the session while capturing natural, timeless images along the way.
Viewing & Selecting Your Images
At the end of your session, you’ll view your images right away on my laptop. These are unedited previews, but seeing them together in the moment allows you to choose the ones you’re most drawn to.
Because we’ve already planned your session and reviewed artwork options during your design appointment, this part of the process feels easy and straightforward. I’ll guide you through your selections so you can choose what you love without feeling overwhelmed.
I’ll help guide you through selecting your favorite images and deciding how you’d love to enjoy them in your home, whether through albums, wall art, folio boxes, or digital images.
Editing & Final Artwork
Once your selections are made, each image is carefully edited to ensure a polished, natural finish. I handle final refinements and oversee every detail so your portraits are consistent and ready for print.
Within about three weeks, you’ll receive your finished digital images along with your album design if applicable. From there, your artwork is sent into production.
Most pieces are delivered within 6-8 weeks, depending on the time of year, with holiday seasons occasionally requiring a bit more time.
Your albums, wall art, and prints are professionally produced using archival materials and archival-quality finishes, designed to be displayed and enjoyed in your home for years to come.
