Top Notch Services for Sarasota Moms

Sirius Day Spa
First things first. It’s no secret that a massage is ultra relaxing. It’s just the thing many of us need to help us wind down when we’re feeling frazzled. Sirius Day Spa in Lakewood Ranch is the perfect place for a little indulgence, and offers massage, and many other amazing services. Give them a call, and find out about their massage therapy, various facial services, eyelash extensions, hair services, and so much more. Sirius Day spa is just a few miles from Sarasota, and a one stop shop for the latest in beauty, relaxation, and wellness.

Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
Acupuncture is one of those things that works better the more you do it! At the Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, you can get herbal injections in addition to acupuncture. Acupuncture is super relaxing, to the point where once your needles are placed, you’ll likely fall asleep. It can treat so many things – from pain relief, lowering anxiety, relieving allergies, and promoting detoxification, to a wide range of Esthetic and Anti-Aging treatments.

I’ve been having treatments since 2013, often weekly, and sometimes more. Acupuncture is one self care service that’s a constant for me, and I’ve even dragged friends in for a treatment! (I’ve later been profusely thanked for it). If you’ve never been and are wondering if it hurts, it does not, usually. Sometimes it’s a quick pinch when your needle is placed but it immediately dissipates. Sometimes, I don’t feel a thing. Give it a try – I’m sure you’ll be hooked like me!

Salt of the Earth
In the main salt room at Salt of the Earth, you can lay back and get comfortable in the cool environment for 45 minutes, where you can relax and meditate while the salty environment helps alleviate a variety of issues. From sinuses, to asthma, cold & flu symptoms, and even ear infections. While all of that is beneficial during the dry cool winter period we’re having right now, my favorite benefit of visiting Salt of the Earth is destressing and leaving feeling refreshed. Looking for even more healing? They also offer red-light therapy, a heated salt bed, and a few more relaxing and rejuvenating treatments to get you feeling amazing!

Next Level Chiropractic
When I’m short on time, a quick chiropractic adjustment is the perfect thing to help me decompress. Whether that is for physical aches and pains, or mental ones, Next Level Chiropractic in Bradenton provides a service that is customized to your needs and wants. They offer a well rounded approach that treats the whole person.

For the Homebodies – Self care for Sarasota Moms can happen without having to leave the house, too!

Are you more into relaxing at home? I totally get that. Especially if it’s cold out and I don’t feel like leaving the house. I know I’m not alone with this! I personally like to relax with a good audio book or my kindle, a nice hot cup of Crio Brew, and my favorite essential oil scents diffusing in the room. Some more of my favorite at home self care tips are below.

1. Read a good book! For me that’s self improvement or business related books. I just can’t get into fiction. But read whatever you like! Don’t forget the air pod pro’s when you need to listen quietly!

Here’s a short list of some of my favorite self improvement books:

May Cause Miracles by Gabrielle Bernstein
Daring Greatly by Brene Brown
Untamed by Glennon Doyle
Grit by Angela Duckworth
Chasing the Brightside by Jess Ekstrom
Everything Is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo
The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin
That’s Not What I Meant by Deborah Tannen

2. Melt away stress in the shower with shower steamers! These easy to use and mess free shower bombs can be used in the shower or bath (or even unwrap one in your car!), and come in a variety of scents and blends to ease your mind and help you decompress.

3. Indulge in some at home pampering with a mini-facial and mani-pedi. I happen to love gel polish the most, and when I am doing my own nails, I love the Green Flash system! This long-lasting polish removes easily and is perfect when I can’t make it to the salon.

4. Slip into some luxurious sheets! Fresh bedding is amazing by itself, add these ultra-soft, cooling sheets for a blissful night’s sleep!

5. Luxurious sheets pair well with some super soft jammies! Cozy up with your new PJ’s in fresh sheets with a good book, and feel the stress melt away!
